I could have put a few different Stephen King books on this list, "It", "The Stand" and "The Dark Tower" series are also favorites and should be noted. I have read six books by Ann Rule. If you like True Crime novels, you can't go wrong with her. Her books are so detailed and well written that I am always hooked from the first page.

  • 1. "The Lovely Bones", Alice Seybold
  • 2. "The Alchemist", Paulo Coelho
  • 3. "The Pact", Jodi Picoult
  • 4. "Why I’m Like This", Cynthia Kaplan
  • 5. "Running with Scissors", Augusten Burroughs
  • 6. "Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas", James Patterson
  • 7. "The Talismen", Stephen King
  • 8. "The Witching Hour (series)", Anne Rice
  • 9. "And Never Let her Go", Anne Rule
  • 10."Into Thin Air", Jon Krakauer

A room without books is a body without a soul.
